Filipino Renaldo Lapuz American Idol Phenomenon

Simon said so himself, "I have a horrible feeling that it's going to be a hit record."

Already, this song has about a dozen remix versions and a lot of covers, and even some by famous artists! Renaldo Lapuz had his 15 minutes of fame but has managed to immortalize himself and his now famous song into the hearts of millions around the world -and Youtube!

This 44-year old Filipino from Reno, Nevada works on a night crew from Walmart. And according to his official website (yes, he has an OFFICIAL WEBSITE!) the Sacramento Kings who are owned by the Mallof family (they also own the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas) invited Renaldo to be their special guest for a game this season! He was also featured on Fox News. Undoubtedly the next American Idol sensation. And all this because of a song he wrote for... Simon?! ^_^

I can't seem to get the tune out of my head for some reason... hehe "I am you brother, your best friend forever..." lol. OMG I think I just memorized the lyrics to the song! And that little dance Paula did at the last part of the video was kinda creepy... Hehe Rock on my FIlipino brother!

Street Fighter III Unbelievable Moment

Now i know this video is really old, but I still get the same feeling i did when i first saw it.. I had goose bumps! It still truly is an omgwtf moment and probably the greatest comeback in Street Fighter and perhaps the entire history of fighting games.

This is the 3rd and final round between Daigo (Ken) and Justin Wong (Chun-li) from the 2004 Evolution Tournament. Still can't get over Daigo being able to pull that off! He parries Chun-Li's entire special attack then takes her out for the championship win! Amazing moment. Hehe

Here's the video. Enjoy! ΓΌ

Picture of a man on Mars?

This has been causing a bit of a buzz lately. But like other pictures or videos of so-called UFOs or strange beings from the supernatural to the extra-terrestrial, we can't really see a clear image. That's why there are still a lot of sceptics and non-believers. Who could blame them. Why give an extraordinary explanation to what could have a very earthly meaning.

Here's a video of a report from CNN on the controversial image of a "man" walking on Mars.

Imagine if that was really ET.. Life-changing thought?

Do jellyfish have brains?

I've been recently asked this question and so i did a little research of my own. Here's what I was able to dig up.

Despite their name, jellyfish are actually not fish! Jellyfish are made up of over 95% water, and they do not have brains, hearts, gills, bones, or blood. So, if jellyfish are not fish, what are they? Jellyfish belong to an animal group called invertebrates, because they do not have backbones. Fish are vertebrates, because they have backbones.

Jellyfish do not have a brain like us. They have a complex network of nerves which respond to things, but they cannot think about things.

There are more than 200 different species of jellyfish in the world. They come in a variety of sizes and colors. Lion's mane jellyfish are the largest species of jellyfish - their bells (jellyfish's round, umbrella-like bodies) can reach 8 feet across and their tentacles can be more than 200 feet long! Most jellyfish have see-through bells in all sorts of colors. Some even glow in the dark!

So there you go. Amazing little creatures. Now the one on the left is one BIG jellyfish. They're nice to look at.. All graceful and stuff.. Flying around in a world of their own. Wouldn't even think about diving anywhere near a jellyfish that size though..

That's it for now.. haha 1st blog post! Couldn't have imagined my first one to be about something like this..
